Busy Busy Weekend at StuWeb Towers, and my body is wanting to train. My eyes and mind are still in Bed though. There seems like a lot of Midland action going on here to so we've pulled in the results from the Burntwood Aquathlon too. (see the All Results link).
We've got a few queries in the inbox and we're currently investigating the tagging,we've actually got a very simple solution running in the background but we're going to hold off for a few weeks longer and make some refinements. to the data structure.

Looks like a busy weekend for StuWeb Race timing as we've got two races back to back. Both events are taking entries on the day now so you get down there on the day if you wish. On Saturday, as with all of Martine and Catherines events being Saturday based, We'll be at the Shakespeare 10km which promised to the be the fastest 10Km ever with its pancake flat two lap course.
Results will be here of course around Saturday tea Time.
On Sunday we're off to the Maidstone Duathlon in Harreitsham in Kent. First visit for me but team StuWeb will be there with bells on as well as the Duathlon suit worn by my brother. We should get some results out shortly after the finish and off back to the midlands in time for tea.

Hi all those of you out there in internet land, I just want to let you all know that all is well at StuWeb Head Quarters. An eventful weekend (okay so a weekend full of events) has started the ball rolling and those of you on facebook will have seen a a few photos of the Slip printer I got on Friday.
We're still writing reports but it went down very well over the weekend at F3 events and its something that we're intending to roll out in the fullness of time.
We're also pleased to announce that the Ultra systsems have been very nice to work with and whilst we've not had much call for them so far interest is building and I have got through my full allocation of Tags and have just put some on order. I have a report from venice about the Ultra and some photos too.
See you soon!

After a london Warmup? This is it!

A fine event which Stamford Striders (and the local community in
general) should be very very proud of. We see many events every year
and this is great value for money, has excellent organisation and has a
very friendly crew behind it :)
Results are in the All Results section, or from the quick link on the bottom right of the page.

The results from the worcester aquathlon are online in the results section. somewhat delayed due to a cream related incident upon my arrival home this evening I've just spend 2 hours cleaning the fridge :( Funny I should be cold as its been about the same temperature most of the day outside.
Regardless 67 people rolled out of bed for the leisurely start time of 12 noon to start the aquathlon. Leading off the mens results and not challenged for the fourth race I've seen him recently is Philip Wolfe from Mamoth Lifestyle racing. Followed by no un certain terms by David Jubb who deserves an honourable mention being the spritely age of 15 years old!!
In the Ladies race we saw Zammie Cotterill pop in first place for the ladies, followed by Emma Bexon.

Given the carnage on the roads of Britain yesterday you'd be forgiven for looking to expand your transport options right now. The obvious choice, of course, is a bike.
Eddie Izzard bids for Ironman glory as event is confirmed for 2010 (Bolton News)

THE Ironman UK Triathlon is returning to Bolton in 2010, organisers have confirmed.

But the route which competitors will follow will undergo a redesign after swimmers were banned from Rivington Reservoir.

The reservoir’s owners, United Utilities, have said allowing it to be used sends mixed safety messages.

The contest — a gruelling race featuring a 2.4-mile swim, a
112-mile cycle ride and a marathon — will be held on August 1, 2010.

This year’s event brought more than £4.2 million into the local economy.
