Happy New Year From Stuweb Race Timing

I feel that its going to be busy one if nothing else and we've been very busy taking bookings and deposits for the year ahead. It certainly supposes to be busy and also it supposes to interesting with the release of the ULTRA system for the running market.  We can't wait, Our units are about to leave Australia for the UK and our counterpart in the US (Accuchip timing) have been telling us all about them.

Eddie Izzard Bids For Ironman Glory As Event Is Confirmed For 2010 (bolton News)

THE Ironman UK Triathlon is returning to Bolton in 2010, organisers have confirmed.

But the route which competitors will follow will undergo a redesign after swimmers were banned from Rivington Reservoir.

The reservoir’s owners, United Utilities, have said allowing it to be used sends mixed safety messages.

The contest — a gruelling race featuring a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile cycle ride and a marathon — will be held on August 1, 2010.

This year’s event brought more than £4.2 million into the local economy.

Sevenoaks *again*

Just when you thought you'd passed on your weekly press release then along comes another one!  SevenOaks has once again made the shortlist for the Triathlon of the year (sub 500).  Which means that along with Bala (500+ events) I have timed one race in each category!

Sevenoaks Triathlon Welcomes Bike Box As Its Newest Sponsor

7Oaks Tri Club are pleased to announce that Bike Box have become a sponsor of both Sevenoaks Sprint Triathlons in 2010.

As part of the sponsorship, Bike Box will be providing one of their well known and sturdy bike boxes to be won in the prize draw at each race, which will be made after the prize giving.  Every competitor who takes part in the event will have their number entered into the prize draw with the chance of winning one of several big prizes to be won – however the competitors must be present to win!
